Current Status

Read-Me~

I haven’t been doing anything much lately cuz I was busy with moving out and stuffs. But now, I got more free time I can spend for this site. So, maybe I’ll pick up the pace in doing things.

To be honest, my Japanese is better than my English. No, really. So, there’ll be some errors or awkward sentences here and there and if you could be kind enough to point them out in the comment section, it’d be a great help.

Also, if you need help in Japanese, be it grammar, vocabulary etc etc, I’m more than happy to help you too.

“Status of those things”

Kuro-no-maou :

Probably on hiatus, noticed someone else is doing them too. So maybe I’ll drop it. Maybe I’ll skip a few chapters. Well I did skip a few chapter already (lol). There are 3 chapters way ahead of the current chapter 5. I’ve read them till chapter 90-ish anyway.

Kyokou-Suiri :

This is my main work right now. Planning on translating 5 pages everyday.  Only on weekdays. Hmm maybe I should make it my policy.

New-Project? :

There is one more Light Novel (not Web Novel) I’d like to pick up. But I’ll see how it goes first.

Notes

Nothing much. Just wanna put these links as not-so-important references for Chapter 2. I mean I learned how to do foot notes but it didn’t work as what I wanted so I gave up.

Shichinin-Misaki

City designated by government ordinance

Hmm what else?

Chapter 3’s title in Japanese is「アイドルは鉄骨 に死なす」(Idol wa tekkotsu ni shinasu).

Note that the title is in present tense so the author is talking in general not specifically about Nanase Karin or maybe I was just reading between the lines too much.

Around 2008 and further on, sometimes in news the word 死なした which literally means causing someone to die was used instead of the word 殺した/殺された (killed/been killed) and it caused quite a confusion among some people (the Japanese).

The reason is they both in such context mean the same thing. Someone was killed.

So, what is the difference between them that make the media in Japan change the word that they had been using for all murder news?

Basically;

死なす(shinasu) = someone killed someone else by accident, without any murder-intent.

殺す(korosu) = someone killed someone else on purpose, really meant to kill that someone.

Maybe the author is trying to tell us something? Or maybe the author was just wanted to use the word because it was once became a hot topic.

Hope those information are useful. Sorry, no spoilers.

Oh and today is August 26th, with that all the OP/ED songs this season on my waiting list are cleared.

Listening to last ones on the list; Mikatzuki and Clattanonia right when it was just released at 00:00 feels so good~

Oh yes, a picture.

From an imouto-genre manga called Rinjin wo Imouto-seyo! (Make your neighbour your sister!)

This manga is epically hilarious. 10/10

Chapter 2 finished

Like the title said, it is completed with over 13 000 words. I wonder how many letters are they in the original text. Nope, not gonna count them.

Will work on chapter 1 and 3 equally from now on, someone (me) needs to get that chapter 1 done after all.

Do point out any mistake in the comment section.

Lastly, a picture.

Updates

I have a good news and a bad news for you all. Which one do you wanna hear first?

Ok let’s go with the good news then.

Good news : We have reached the same stop point with the manga!

The second chapter of the manga did not cover all of the novel’s second chapter. It did not cover the best part of the chapter; the conversation between Saki and Kotoko inside Saki’s apartment.

The first chapter did cover up everything however, with an extra scene at that library. I don’t know whether if that scene is in another chapter but it is definitely not in the first chapter of the novel. But worry not they both ended up about the same, with Kurou saying he ate 2 kind of youkai and such.

Bad news : Today is Friday. Hmm, it is Friday but why is it a bad news?

Cuz I don’t do updates on weekends.

Cuz I use that time to read my novels/light novels.

But I promised you a completed, full chapter 2 next week!

Well a day or two would pass before you know it.

来週もお楽しみに~

Washi, kawaii.

So I just read finished the first volume of “She professed herself as pupil of the wise man”.

It was quite good. It was funny and the best part of it..

Washi, kawaii.

There is a crazy driver, godzilla fight, bath battle, cute girl with fairy wings that so is loyal to MC and also an army of maid that wants to dress up the MC; like Henrietta used to dress Akatsuki up in Log Horizon.

God bless Amazon that suddenly decided to put a limited stock of volume one of that LN early today.

You know, there is one thing that I really like about japanese book.

It is called “Maki”.

It is that small piece of paper that wrapped the book that usually comes with the book if you buy it firsthand; most secondhand books don’t have these because well.. it’s small, easily gone or torn and such.

Washi, kawaii.

IMG_0543

and this book in particular used a semi-transparent paper for its Maki which I think pretty neat.

And you know what the all the Maki of the 3 volumes have in common?

Washi, kawaii.

Book, I love you. And you too Fuzi Choco.

Hey hey hey~

Guess what I’d bought and just arrived today?

IMG_0529

Books.

Not just any books.

Novels.

Not just any novels.

Light novels.

Only god knows how happy I am when they arrived.

But wait!

There is more.

IMG_0534

Haha this one. I bought it purely because it is illustrated by Fuji Choco.

Who is Fuji Choco you asked? You don’t know her? Wew.

She did the illustration for Hachi-nan tte, which made me fall in love with her. I mean with her works.

IMG_0538

These are all the four of Hachi-nan light novels, with the 5th volume will be out on 25th June.

Now, let’s talk about the contents of the books. I mean novels. No, light novels.

The LN in the first picture is about a slime. About a 37 year-old man died saving her kouhai at work and reincarnated as a slime in a different world. Then, he became friend with one of the 4 big dragons and went out to explore the vast new world.

There are groups doing the translations of its WN and LN separately, although they only covered small part of them at the moment.

But seriously, each book is thick, more than 300 pages each written with half- page style paragraphs, means the words are written in compact in every page.

The first novel I read using the same style is Kyokou Suiri. But it is smaller in size and only got 283 pages.

Haha this will take a while to finish. Not actually a bad thing though.

The second LN; the one with a girl riding a dragon cover, is quite good too.

Well, I wanna say it as typical VRMMORPG novels but now that I think about it, I rarely read a LN with a genderbender genre. Oh wait there is one. Only Sense Online.

Yes, the MC is a guy who played the VRMMORPG till he is beyond god-like as a wise-mage. When he felt that he had succeeded making the ultimate character that symbolized the definition of a ‘real man’, he thought of making a character that would be the symbol of a ‘real woman’.

After spending hours customizing his new character, he somehow lost his consciousness and felt asleep. Later when he woke up, he became the very character that he just made.

That is as far as I could read on the kindle sample.

By the way, if you noticed, it is the 3rd volume of the LN. Well I’m missing both 2nd volume of this LN and the Slime LN but worry not, they shall arrived tomorrow.

The 1st volume however, is out of stock in amazon store, and I checked the stock with 3 Kinokuniya Bookstore in the city via its website, only one of them has the stock of the first volume.

But I still need to go all my way to the city to buy it.

How dare they make the introvert me go out to buy it! Go put it in amazon or something!

The Kindle version is available but.. I like real book better.

Well, it can’t be helped. Hey wanna see the artwork of the novel that I found on her pixv page?

44425875_p0

God, I love her. I mean her works.

The uhh.. english title of this novel is “She professed herself pupil of the wise man” made me giggled a bit but it somehow gave a good vibe about the book.

No, there is no official english translation of this. Just a second title they put on the cover.

Updated: If you googled that english title you will find the groups/individuals that are currently working on the translation, both LN and WN.

So since both of them are already being worked on, no need for me to do em translation -sniff-

Well I think this is a good place to stop the long post.

Have fun out there and see you next time!

Neppu!!

Re;Birth 2 is out!!!!

My Steam Store is still Japan’s and the game is region-locked (again) for Japan.

Well I still managed to get it anyway by using some tricks.. Made a new other region account and bought its steam wallet code and then bought it and the whole DLCs as gifts and then sent the game back to me.

So, well.. yup.. no translating stuff for a while now. Gotta focus on something else important! Yes, playing Nep-Neppu!!

2015-06-02_00005

Hello again!

I almost forgot I have a blog. I have been playing Aura Kingdom (again) since I heard they patched something new. And I had been trying hard to level up my fishing skill ever since.

However, I don’t have that much time left as I have a flight to catch this weekend. So I think I’ll quit playing that game (again) since I’ll be busy preparing for it.

I had finished a few chapters for Kuro No Maou too. I’ll put them on later.

Hmm what ? Where am I going? Well I’m leaving Japan and going back home. So yeah the my schedule now are tight.

Spent 4 years here. Gotta miss Japan.  Maybe I’ll come back later when I have the money to play around. Gotta work hard!

Day One. Nah Just kidding.

Well hello again. Me.

Why me, you asked?

Cuz I don’t have a viewer, so I’ll just make this site as a diary.

Hmm it doesn’t sound so bad. Ok let’s go with it!

After reaching enough to cover the whole first 3 volumes of Hachi-nan tte, I’ve gotten myself the 4th digital volume of the LN. Horray~

So, I was thinking, it would a waste if I’d read it like that, so let’s translate it while I was at it. Thus, I opened a google doc and started my writing.

Just in case, I also opened the same WN chapter as the first chapter of the 4th volume on another tab. Don’t people usually got curios about the differences? I do.

So I started.

I do not know about other LN but, the first few paragraphs of the LN do not have that much differences with its WN. Only a few sentences combined into a shorten one, less complicated explanation, and felt much relaxing(?) to read. So far, that was it.

As time went by, I hardly looking at the WN chapter anymore, only concentrating on the LN completely. and later, I closed that very tab.

The work went quite smoothly until I reached that epic chapter. It was so hilarious.

What happened is, I was reading it while sitting and typing on my bed . However, as I read it, I gradually change my position from sitting to lying, and from just lying to lying comfortably. Unconsciously of course.

Hmm I think it is ok to put on some spoiler. Not like anyone is reading this. Right?

So, Vel went to the magic guild for some reasons and later got invited to see their research that they were currently doing. And they were doing an experiment to summon stuffs from, briefly speaking, anywhere.

So, they told Vel to go ahead and try the summoning magic circle. So he did.

Well, I don’t want to put too much spoilers but the result is, the only things that got summoned were girl underwear and fishes. Yes, fresh and living fishes. What, you wanted me to tell more about the underwear instead? You pervert…

So, yeah. Underwears and fishes. I’m starting to like this author. You don’t see those combination everyday. Or do you?

Well even if you do, I don’t want to know what kind of life you’re living. No, really.

Good day, Sir.

You know, when Rat called Naofumi a marquis, I was like “now that’s a word I haven’t seen in awhile”.

Then I read the web novel for 八男って、それはないでしょう! and there were noble titles everywhere and I got a little confused so I decided to do a little research for it.

And here is the result.

And as for the LN, I often saw it on the recommendation at the kindle store since I bought the digital manga for Tate Yuusha back quite a while ago but had not considered it yet. Maybe because I had just started reading LN at that time. Then just recently I came across rhinabolla’s blog who did the WN translation and it was very good. It has 29 chapters translated there and currently at where the first heroines were introduced.

I banged my head to the desk when I finished all 29 since it felt somewhat frustrating when you only read one or two chapters after the heroine’s first appearance. Then I went ahead and read the original web novel ones. I read ahead like 20 chapters and I did not regret it. Is an awesome web novel. (note : it is translated from the WN, not the LN anyway)
